Edgemere retirement community : ウィキペディア英語版 | Edgemere retirement community
Edgemere is a continuing care retirement community in the Preston Hollow〔http://prestonhollow.advocatemag.com/2013/07/23/meet-the-knit-wits-the-power-of-a-needle/〕 neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, offering independent living, assisted living, memory support, skilled nursing and rehabilitation on one campus. Edgemere is also the Dallas area’s only provider of Masterpiece Living®, a national program for fitness and personal growth at any age, based on the 10-year MacArthur Foundation Study on Aging. It prepares Edgemere residents to reduce the 12 risk factors of aging as identified by the Mayo Clinic through a self-paced and results-oriented curriculum. ==Company History== Edgemere was founded in 2001 by Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation (SQLC)〔http://www.prlog.org/11823389-wall-street-journal-article-touts-appeal-of-senior-community-bonds-cites-edgemere-in-dallas.html〕 and its chairman, Charles B. Brewer. SQLC develops and manages not-for-profit communities, where all earnings are reinvested into its communities to enhance resident services, and health care staffing and capabilities. Rather than pay dividends to stockholders, not-for-profit communities are mission-driven, created to provide security for their members and offering benevolent care if residents run out of funds through no fault of their own. SQLC also has a charitable foundation that supports this effort, as well as local programs that assist the senior population in need.〔http://yourparkcities.dallasnews.com/author/awesselfortepr-com/〕
